This flag was born of the need for a more practical design to accommodate new states entering the Union. On April 4, 1818, Congress established the number of stripes at seven red and six white, and provided for the addition of one star for each new state. The 50-star flag has been in use since July 4, 1960.
This quality historic flag comes in the
following fabrics:
Nyl-Glo - Made of 100% SolarMax
nylon. Great for outdoor use. Features white Polyester Duck heading
and brass grommets. Strong and durable, special parachute cloth treatment
reduces sun and chemical deterioration. This provides your flag with
crisp, bright colors longer than most flags.
Bulldog Cotton - Heavyweight cotton
spun from sturdy 2-ply carded yarns. They are vat dyed in limited colors.
Bulldog fabric is most often used today when recreating an authentic historical
look and feel of a time gone by.
